North Caldwell council rescinds previous resolution, renews and transfers liquor license and begins budget talks

The Borough of North Caldwell Mayor and Council met in a special session on April 7, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Mayor Joshua H. Raymond called the meeting to order and the council completed roll call before taking up non-consent business.
Councilwoman Johanna Stroever moved to approve Resolution R-73-2026, rescinding Resolution R-67-2026; the motion, seconded by Councilman Kenneth Tilton, carried unanimously with four affirmative votes. The council likewise approved Resolution R-74-2026 renewing plenary retail consumption liquor license #0715-33-003-004 to Fat Buddha, LLC d/b/a Grande Buddha and R-75-2026 authorizing a person-to-person transfer of the same license from Fat Buddha LLC to North Dwell LLC. Both licensing motions passed unanimously with four affirmative votes.
