Road foreman reports gravel operations paused; excavator working to re‑narrow Center Fayston Road

Road Foreman Josh Livingston updated the Selectboard on current roadwork: McCullough has been crushing gravel but work is paused, and an excavator is at Center Fayston Road to narrow the roadway and re-ditch where material has been spread during grading.
Livingston also addressed a damaged stretch of blacktop on North Fayston Road, saying he met with the tree service responsible and that the contractor "is willing to do what is necessary to correct the situation." He told the board the crew should not have worked on hot pavement, which worsened the damage, and the board discussed asking Pike to inspect the site and provide a repair quote.
"They shouldn’t have done the work on a hot day, which exacerbated the damage," Livingston said, describing the cause and the contractor's willingness to fix the road.
