The board approved the consent agenda on a motion by Vic Bansal and a second from Ty Lindsey. The items included minutes from prior meetings, revenues and expenditures, purchase orders over $50,000, TASB Risk Management renewal for unemployment compensation, resolutions recognizing Cherokee County and Smith County 4-H organizations as extracurricular activities, an interlocal shared-services agreement with Tyler ISD, the Open Education Resources Transition Plan for Bluebonnet Learning materials, the district appraisal calendar, the 2025'27 Student Code of Conduct, and a one-time senior-scholarship donation. The motion carried 7'to'00.
Following an executive session (6:34'6:58 p.m.), the board approved, on the superintendent's recommendation, the hiring of Celeste Nations to replace Mikala Walker as the elementary ECSE teacher; Ty Lindsey moved, Homer Dickey seconded, and the motion carried 7'to'00. The meeting adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
