Commissioners put ATV/UTV ordinances and home-business sign rules on work-session agenda

Commission Chair Terrance Bell and several commissioners identified items to place on a future Planning and Zoning work-session agenda during the July 7 meeting. Commissioner Stephanie Howes and Commissioner Keith Harvey both asked that ATV and UTV ordinances be reviewed at the work session; Council Member Vance Brown requested that signs for home-based businesses be added and that approved Planning & Zoning documents be posted to the shared Planning & Zoning and Council drives.
No votes were taken on ordinance language at the meeting; commissioners only placed the topics on the work-session agenda for further review by staff and the commission. The work session will be the venue for drafting or revising ordinance language and any formal motions or public hearings that may follow.
