The motion was moved by President Martin Gilbert and seconded by Secretary/Treasurer Soon Juhng; the recorded vote lists Kathleen Cook, Julie Lev, David DiGregorio, Yelena Meytes, Martin Gilbert, Nicole Motz, Soon Juhng and Elizabeth Warms as voting "Aye."
Director Julie Marallo summarized the planning process and thanked Children’s Librarian Latricia Markle and board members Nicole Motz and Yelena Meytes for their contributions; at Marallo’s request Ms. Markle presented a slide show of completed plans drawn by Creative Library Concepts, LLC. Board minutes record that the plans were "enthusiastically approved by the Board." Implementation details and any design amendments were left to staff and trustees to finalize.
The approval clears the way for procurement and scheduling once final design amendments, if any, are made. The board did not specify a contract value or timeline in the minutes.
