WEIMAR ISD superintendent outlines operations updates including safety rollout and brand work

Superintendent Chase Seelke used the district report portion of the Sept. 9 meeting to update trustees on a range of operational priorities.
Seelke said the district is "working on getting [Raptor Emergency Management] launched by mid-October," and that staff are meeting with a School Nutrition Consultant this week after circulating a School Nutrition Survey. He also noted a planned meeting with WRA to discuss brand guidelines and that the district had received an Open Records Act request following recent legislative changes to the Texas Public Information Act.
Also in the update, Seelke reported that the City of Weimar is investigating a water-line issue affecting the field house, concessions, restrooms and the administration building; the district flagged the item for follow-up with city officials. Seelke closed the report by noting the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council has been appointed and will meet two to three times per semester with the superintendent.
