The Waxahachie Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a trip for the Waxahachie High School (WHS) CTE welding class to travel to Marietta, Oklahoma during a called meeting on Oct. 28, 2024. President Dusty Autrey called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.; Trustee Clay Schoolfield moved to approve the trip and Trustee Debbie Timmermann seconded. The motion passed 4-0.
Trustees Judd McCutchen, Clay Schoolfield and Debbie Timmermann were recorded as present along with Superintendent Dr. Jerry Hollingsworth, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Learning Dr. David Averett, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Theresa Burkhalter, Public Relations Director Jenny Bridges and Director of Student Services Sean Cagle. The board did not enter a closed session, no one spoke during open forum, and Trustee Judd McCutchen later moved to adjourn; Trustee Clay Schoolfield seconded and that motion also passed 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 8:32 a.m.
