Board approves $170,300 lighting upgrade for Chuck Franz Gymnasium

Dr. Bennett presented the RFQ response for the Chuck Franz Gymnasium lighting project, reporting that proposed work will boost lighting from about 55 foot-candles to more than 110 foot-candles and add roughly nine additional banks of lights for court and balcony areas. He said that three vendors were solicited via RFQ, one responded, and the district selected ESG; the total project cost is $170,300 and will be funded through the 2026 bond issue.
Dr. Bennett told the board the contract had been reviewed by legal counsel and asked for approval of the RFQ selection and contract. The board moved, seconded and approved the recommendation unanimously.
