Planning staff summarized the proposal as an expansion to house additional printing equipment, requiring an altered access road configuration and minor site adjustments. Staff said the addition will have metal panel walls and a fully adhered roof system and described three elevation zones in the addition. "Belkin's proposing to construct a 15,250 square foot addition to their existing building and to house additional printing equipment lines," staff told the commission.
Staff reported the facility currently employs 83 full‑time employees and anticipates adding roughly 83 more, operating across four shifts and including plans for 24‑hour security and video surveillance. Staff also referenced a related T grant award of $400,000 from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to fund a Veil spur connection that will complement the expansion and help support planned job growth.
A representative from Partners in Design Architects said the final plan differs only modestly from the preliminary submission and noted adjustments to doors and sidewalks. The commission moved, seconded and approved final plans on a voice vote.
