After an executive session on Feb. 10, the West Rusk County Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to extend select administrator and director contracts by one year, converting them to two-year contracts.
Robert Anderson made the motion to approve the extensions and Will Sudweeks seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The minutes list the following employees as included in the one-year extension: Leah Bobbitt (Assistant Superintendent); Mindee Mata (Director of Business Operations); Gwen Gilliam (Director of Student Services); Jake Jackson (High School Principal); Lori Burke (Jr. High Principal); Burt Langley (Intermediate Principal); Carlette Mills (Elementary Principal); James Neal (Assistant High School Principal); Scott Kaufman (Assistant Jr. High Principal); Krystal Medford (Assistant Intermediate Principal); Kelly Medford (Assistant Elementary Principal); Raff Mata (Athletic Director); Lee Clark (Technology Director); Leisha Smith (CTE Director); Grady Haffner (Band Director); Kevin Roy (Chief of Police); and Megan Wriggle (School Registered Nurse).
The board record does not attach individual contract terms, salary details or effective dates beyond noting the one-year extension; those specifics were not included in the minutes and remain subject to the district's personnel records and contract documents.
