At the Jan. 21, 2025 meeting, Gwen Gilliam, Director of Student Programs for WEST RUSK COUNTY CONSOLIDATED ISD, presented the public hearing on the 2023–2024 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) and responded to board questions. Ms. Gilliam said the TAPR is a resource parents use when evaluating a school and stated that West Rusk has "excellent standing" on the report; the document is available on the district website for public viewing.
The board did not take separate action on the TAPR at the meeting; the presentation was listed as a public hearing item and staff directed members to the posted report for details. The TAPR presentation was followed by two other staff reports: the 2024 TEA Federal Report Card and Results Driven Accountability materials about special populations.
