Council approves $64,069 valve replacement at reclaimed water tank

Assistant City Manager for Public Services Steve Pash told commissioners the existing 16-inch automated valve at the Daniels Reuse Facility is not functioning properly; the valve maintains tank capacity and controls the flow of reclaimed water to other locations. "This valve is an automated valve that keeps the tank at the proper capacity and, once filled, sends the reclaimed water to other locations," Pash said.
Staff recommended purchase and installation from ASI in the amount of $64,068.96 to replace the valve. Commissioners discussed the size and cost of the valve and approved the expenditure unanimously, 5-0.
