Staff says drainage sump pump installed; paving overflow lot limited by storm-drain tie-ins

TJ told the commission that Public Works "decided they were gonna need to put in a little drainage system with a sump pump to pump that water back up out into the street so it can find its way down to a storm drain." He said crews completed the work and the effectiveness will be evaluated after the next heavy rains.
On paving the overflow parking lot, TJ said the project would require substantial investment primarily because of stormwater tie-in needs; he warned that without new drains, paving could cause runoff to shift toward neighbors’ yards and that the nearest suitable drain is several blocks away, making the project costly and technically complicated.
