Planned outage will darken building on the 13th; meals and some services to move

Staff warned a planned power outage on the 13th will leave the building dark for several hours, cancel the regular meal that day, move WIC sessions to Mary Blake Playhouse, and limit pottery kiln and hot-water use.
TJ warned the commission that "the 13th, we the building will just will be dark. There will not be a meal, that day." He said WIC sessions would relocate to the Mary Blake Playhouse across the street for that day, some fitness classes and pottery (in naturally lit spaces) could continue, but the kiln and hot water might not be available.
Staff said the outage was being scheduled for the full day but they expected to need about four hours; commissioners discussed implications for volunteers and attendees and noted the center would publish details so regular diners and program participants know where services will be offered during the outage.
