District staff told the board that Kickboard tracking recorded 797,133 positive acknowledgments during the data cycle, which the presenter framed as roughly 86 points per student and about 4,816 positive acknowledgments per day. "That's 1 behavior per student per day at least," the presenter said when describing how the data demonstrate teachers are catching positives more often.
Staff said the growth in recorded positives has more than doubled since last year, attributing part of the change to wider adoption of Kickboard and to teacher and driver practice changes that encourage logging praise. They said the recorded positives help craft targeted PBIS goals, recognize students and shape social-emotional learning plans for the next school year.
