The ordinance requires zoning permits for porta‑potties in all zones, allows one unit for active construction, and requires a plot plan or photographs and a $50 permit fee for non‑construction placement. It sets placement minimums of 15 feet from side or rear property lines and 20 feet from the curb, requires the restroom door face away from street frontage, and mandates removal within 48 hours of construction completion or the conclusion of an approved event.
The ordinance also sets a penalty of $250 for each day a violation continues after notice and exempts borough‑sponsored or borough‑permitted public events. Councilman Bray moved introduction and set the public hearing for March 18, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
