Council adopts ordinance adding Human Resources duties to Borough Administrator

The Mayor and Council of West Long Branch adopted Ordinance 0-26-4 on third and final reading on Feb. 18, adding the duties of a Human Resources Officer to the Borough Administrator’s responsibilities. Mayor Janet W. Tucci opened and closed the public hearing after no members of the public spoke, and Councilman Bray moved adoption; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The ordinance was published in the Asbury Park Press on Feb. 10, 2026, as required, and the council recorded AYES from Bray, Cioffi, Gomez, Penta, Ruane and Sniffen with no NAYS, absences or abstentions. The change amends Ordinance 2‑7.9(f) to consolidate HR functions with the Borough Administrator position.
