Council declines citywide boost to bulk-trash service after cost review

"If we did want to go with the 2nd bulk day ... it would only be, like, a $2 per month per bill increase if we wanted to do a 2nd bulk pickup," Joseph (Public Works) said while presenting Republic’s quote. Council members expressed concern at raising residential fees for a service that relatively few customers use (staff noted ~2% of residents have an extra can). The council’s consensus was to leave the service as-is and to push the contractor to correct missed collections and work with HOAs on problematic streets.
