Boswell also reported sludge testing returned "some very high levels," creating uncertainty about whether sludge can be taken to Watertown for disposal; Boswell expected an update the following week. On equipment, the board reviewed pricing for a second plow truck at $295,968 and was told ordering before year-end would save the town about $30,000. Emily Losey moved, seconded by Clark Putman, to order the truck and opt into the municipal leasing program; the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes also record a quoted built price of $165,189 for an International CV with an MDI Body package as an alternative option if the town needs a truck before winter. The board directed Highway Superintendent Boswell to coordinate with Assessor Amy Hunt on purchasing logistics.
