At the April 1 meeting the commission recorded several procedural votes. Terry Buettner moved to approve minutes of the Feb. 23 meeting; Kevin Raun seconded and commissioners voted aye. Patty Lundeen moved to open the public hearing; John Harris seconded and the motion carried. After public comment, Terry Buettner moved to close the public comment period; Bennett Petersen seconded and the record was closed. Jody Casper moved to adjourn at 9:40 p.m.; Malcom Dornhoff seconded and the meeting adjourned.
The commission worked through a 20‑page draft of proposed regulation updates and logged edits to many sections (7.30 subsections; 7.31 definitions; setbacks; public conservation lands; 7.33; 7.35; and others). Commissioners did not vote to adopt the draft; staff will prepare revisions for the May 18 public meeting.
