Winona ISD board approves two hires, accepts five resignations and completes multiple evaluations

The Winona ISD Board of Trustees on Feb. 20 approved the hiring of Angela Middlebrooks and Scarlett Fannin and accepted resignations from Jessica Chreene, Eleanor Malone, Lisa Deloach, Alexis Lenington and Addison Smith. Aaron Wilson moved to approve the hires and resignations; Mark Wintters seconded and the board voted unanimously.
The board also completed a series of employee evaluations and contract decisions for district administrators. Diane Newman moved on the High School principal evaluation and Aaron Wilson moved on the Middle School principal evaluation; motions for other positions were made and seconded as recorded. The minutes state that the Elementary Principal received "No Extension given." The board voted unanimously on the series of evaluation motions; the Athletic Director's contract was held until Coach Cook could attend a future meeting. These actions followed the board's closed executive session under Texas Education Code sections that permit personnel deliberations.
