The Wink-Loving ISD Board of Trustees approved a budget amendment on March 20 that moves $1,350,000.00 from the district's Fund Balance into the Building Construction & Improvement account to cover design work for Recreation Center renovations.
Business Manager Geanna Coker presented the single March budget amendment and said it was intended to provide funding for design of the Recreation Center renovations. "There is one budget amendment for the month of March. The one amendment included to move $1,350,000.00 from Fund Balance to Building construction & Improvement to provide for Design Recreation Center Renovations," the minutes record. Trustee Jerome Dewberry moved to approve the amendment; Trustee Raymond Dodd seconded and the motion passed with a unanimous vote of trustees present.
The minutes do not specify which firm was selected for design services or a project schedule; administration indicated the amendment is intended to make design funds available ahead of execution of construction steps tied to the district's bond planning.
