Weatherford ISD board recognizes Tarrant County 4‑H as extracurricular organization

The Weatherford Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 8, 2025, to adopt a resolution recognizing the Tarrant Texas 4‑H Organization for extracurricular status under 19 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 76.1. The motion was made by Trustee Brian Catlin and seconded by Trustee Kindra Lucia; all seven voting members recorded yes.
The resolution states, in part, “Be it hereby resolved that upon this date, the duly elected Board of Trustees of the Weatherford Independent School District meeting in public with a quorum present and certified, did adopt this resolution that recognizes the Tarrant Texas 4‑H Organization as approved for recognition and eligible for extracurricular status consideration under 19 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 76.1.” The board’s action also recognizes local representatives of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as adjunct faculty and requires academic-eligibility requests for 4‑H competitive activities when an absence is needed.
