A staff member presented recommended personnel actions and asked the board to approve resignations and new hires. The staff member said the board should accept the resignation of Greg Crowston (removal as professional accountant/accounts payable/purchasing coordinator, retroactive to 07/21/2026) and the resignation of Dale Lansbury (5th grade teacher at TDEMS effective 07/30/2026). The chair called for a vote on the professional resignations and the motion passed as recorded in the meeting.
Service resignations were presented next: John Callaway was listed as a bus-operator resignation effective 07/20/2026, and the board moved to approve that resignation. The staff member also recommended hiring Beverly Bennett as a bus operator pending required paperwork, background check and certification for the 2627 school year; board members asked about her CDL status and whether a substitute would cover the route until certification was complete.
The board agreed to approve multiple extracurricular hires together, including Michael Kesecker as head baseball coach at TCHS and several after-school staff and substitute facilitators with start dates in the 2627 school year. "We recommend the following action as presented," the staff member said when introducing the professional resignations and hires.
