At the May 14 meeting Dr. Suzanne Hamilton briefed the Board on Strategic Priority 1, Objective 1.3, focusing on creating and sustaining safe and supportive learning environments. The update covered Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Behavior (MTSS-B), discipline data validation indicators and current district safety protocols and practices.
Following that presentation, Nkechi Washington reviewed Special Education data from the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), calling out district and campus performance indicators, strengths and opportunities for growth in student achievement, staffing and program effectiveness. The minutes record these as informational items; no board action was recorded on either presentation.
