The Waller ISD Board on Aug. 8 approved an Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credit (Option 3) for the 2024–2025 school year and delegated contractual authority to the superintendent to obligate the district under relevant Texas Education Code provisions.
Superintendent Moran presented the item on behalf of absent Chief Financial Officer Audrey Ambridge and asked the board to approve the agreement and the delegated authority. Secretary Jeff Flukinger moved for approval; Trustee Bryan Lowe seconded and the motion carried 7-0-0.
The board recorded that the delegation of authority applies "solely for the purpose of obligating the district under TEC, §48.257 and TEC, Chapter 49, Subchapters A and D," and referenced TEC §11.1511(c)(4) and commissioner rules tied to TEC §49.006. The action authorizes district staff to execute the attendance-credit purchase or netting agreement for the 2024–25 year; the motion did not appropriate additional funds at the meeting.
