The Madrid Town Board recorded several unanimous votes during its Aug. 13 meeting, including acknowledgement of the monthly report and approval of the monthly bills for multiple funds.
The board approved payment of General fund bills (202-232) totaling $18,816.67; Highway bills (95-110) totaling $217,563.24; Water bills (55-63) totaling $211,258.62; Sewer bills (58-66) totaling $8,041.08; and Trust & Agency #8 totaling $6,960.20. The motions to acknowledge the monthly report and to pay the bills were moved and seconded by board members and recorded as carried "All in Favor."
In other formal actions, the board adopted a resolution to finance a backhoe through Milton Cat (motion by Kevin Finnegan, seconded by Emily Losey) and approved the purchase of three computers — two desktops at $776.09 each and one laptop at $569.99 — after staff noted Windows 10 support ends in October 2025. The board also approved the minutes of the July 9 meeting. All recorded motions passed unanimously.
