Whitehouse ISD approves interlocal agreement with Smith County, orders May 3 trustee election

On Jan. 16, the Whitehouse ISD Board approved an Interlocal Agreement with Smith County, Texas, to conduct the district's Trustee Election scheduled for May 3, 2025. Trustee Al Flanagan moved for approval of the agreement and Trustee Keidric Trimble seconded; the motion passed with Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
Later in the meeting the board made a separate motion to order the Trustee Election to be conducted Saturday, May 3, 2025, to elect board members for places 4 and 5. That motion was made by Trustee Al Flanagan, seconded by Trustee Keidric Trimble, and recorded as Passed (Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1). The board also authorized the superintendent to execute the interlocal agreement for conducting the election.
