Student Council reports $1,300 fundraiser, FFA events and state spelling bee qualifier

Student Council Representative Charlotte Hanna updated the board on athletics, extracurricular events and fundraisers. "Student Council made $1300 on their butter braid sale. They donated $200 to each HS class with their excess funds," Hanna reported. She also outlined upcoming events including FFA Week (Feb. 17–21), an etiquette dinner Feb. 24 and the Bulldog Bash moved to Feb. 15.
Principal Amanda Kraus and the board also noted that Samiyah Modjewski finished in the top five at the regional spelling bee and qualified for the state spelling bee on March 29 in Madison. The board praised student participation and fundraising efforts and recorded several upcoming dates for competitions and ceremonies.
