The Granton Area School District Board convened a special meeting March 3 at 6:15 p.m. in the Granton School gym and moved into executive session at 6:17 p.m. under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to discuss employment and performance matters. The motion to convene the closed session was made by Mark Elmhorst and seconded by Dennis Kuehn; the roll-call vote recorded Erica Bender: Yea, Douglas Eichten: Yea, Mark Elmhorst: Yea, Dennis Kuehn: Yea, Sheryl Young: Yea.
The board returned to open session at 6:44 p.m. on a motion by Erica Bender, seconded by Dennis Kuehn, again passing unanimously by roll call. School Board Clerk Douglas Eichten reported that no action was taken during the executive session. The meeting proceeded to a public discussion of staffing, collaboration and discipline issues and adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
