The Granton Area School District Board on Jan. 13 approved two technology purchases aimed at supporting student devices and district IT capacity. The board voted to use Title funds to purchase 65 Chromebooks from CDW for $19,825.00, and separately approved a $8,600 retainer for 40 hours of services from SC Networks.
Board member Erica Bender seconded the Chromebook motion after it was moved by Bender; the motion passed on a voice vote. For the IT retainer, Mark Elmhorst moved the motion and Erica Bender seconded it; the board voted to carry the motion. The purchases were discussed as part of the district’s strategy to support remote learning and classroom technology needs.
