Marty Huhn elected chair of the Oct. 23 Flambeau annual meeting after multiple initial refusals

A short nomination sequence at the opening of the annual meeting resulted in Marty Huhn being elected chairperson for the Oct. 23 meeting. Laura Dutter-Nelson nominated Zenny Mahun, who declined; Zenny then nominated Heather Isham, who declined; Zenny later nominated Marty Huhn and Alisha Olsen seconded the nomination. The motion to elect Marty Huhn was carried by unanimous vote for chairperson of the October 23, 2024 annual meeting.
Marty Huhn described his ties to the area and interest in community service, saying he "has been a taxpayer for 60 years, went to Tony School, and is interested in community service." He said he lives in the Sheldon area and wants to keep informed so he can share accurate information when others ask him.
