Flambeau board hears 2024–25 budget; Fund 80 grows, no ESSER funds available

District Administrator Erica Schley presented the School District of Flambeau’s proposed 2024–25 budget during the annual meeting on Oct. 23, reviewing expenditures and revenues for Fund 10, Fund 27, Fund 50 and Fund 80. Schley said Fund 80 "has increased due to more items being put into Fund 80 and not coming out of Fund 10," and highlighted special grants and stipends included for the coming school year.
Schley also reported that no ESSER funds are available this year. The presentation served as the basis for later public questions about levy history and the district’s fiscal posture; board members and community participants asked about the district’s fund balance and how one-time revenues are being managed versus recurring expenditures.
