Risk & Safety: 7 AEDs under recall, two crane inspections failed; replacements planned

The county's Agency official delivered the Risk & Safety report for July: 18 site inspections, one incident report and 11 AED checks, with seven AEDs found to have active recalls that the department aims to replace at no cost within three to six months. "7 of, 7 AEDs have been found to be, have an active recall on them. We're currently working on getting those replaced," the Agency official said.
The report also noted two crane inspections failed; one crane will be retired and the other should return to service after electrical repairs in the coming weeks. The official said shelter-in-place boxes at road shops contain expired supplies and will be inventoried and refreshed, with inspection forms created after the updates. Commissioners asked about ownership and inspection responsibilities for AEDs located at Search and Rescue buildings and emphasized documenting training and fire-watch procedures for ongoing construction phases.
