Staff member described a request from the Madison River Ranches homeowners association to remove a portion of Cliff and Wade Lake Road from the county-maintained ordinance so the road can be closed seasonally. "The homeowners association down there made a request or approved a initiative to come to me and ask for a portion of the road to be removed from the ordinance. It closes it for seasonal purposes so that they can receive they're having trouble getting insurance because it's only a seasonal access," the Staff member said.
Staff indicated resort operators are supportive and that the county likely will not plow the road if it is removed from maintenance; commissioners discussed signage and insurance concerns and said they would continue working on the request.
