Committee notes turning-lane restriping at Route 83 crossing and cautions potential buyers of Melvina lot

Chairman Clifford raised the issue of the turning lane connected to the flashing bike-crossing light at Route 83 and Oak Park Avenue. Morris Engineering said the turning lane will be restriped as part of the flashing light installation and will be extended because the stop bar will be placed before the crosswalk; work will begin when weather permits.
On the Melvina lot, Chairman Clifford said there have been many inquiries about the empty parcel that is for sale. Morris Engineering said zoning indicates the lot is buildable, but added that "there is a lot of homework to be done" and that most of the permitting and compliance burden will fall to the Building Department. Morris Engineering also said remaining residential items on the Harold Avenue/Cypress Lane projects (landscaping, punchlist items) will be remedied closer to April.
