Board hears finance and instructional updates; approves consent items

The White Settlement ISD Board received routine updates from district staff and approved the consent agenda during the Oct. 21 meeting.
Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations David Bitters presented the September 2024 financial update and a construction update. Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Chris Jenkins introduced Curriculum and Instruction Director Heather Crow, who gave an update on the department. Board Member Raymond Patterson summarized trustee training at the TASA/TASB Convention in San Antonio.
On the consent agenda, trustee Amanda Sanchez moved and Dr. Jeremy Lelek seconded approval of four items: approval of the Sept. 16, 2024 regular meeting minutes; consideration of monthly expenditures for September 2024; amended budgets; and approval of vendors for additional contracted special education services. The consent motion carried 7 Ayes, 0 Nays.
