Mineral Point board keeps mission, tweaks values and schedules vision review

The Board of Trustees of the Mineral Point Unified School District reviewed the district’s strategic plan elements during a work session Dec. 11 in the MS/HS Library. The board decided to keep the mission statement unchanged and to make a few minor changes to the district values, and agreed to consider revisions to the vision statement and beliefs after those value edits are completed.
"The board decided to:", the board recorded, followed by a list of the three determinations: mission unchanged, minor values edits, and consideration of vision/belief revisions. The board set a follow-up date for the Winter board retreat scheduled Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, to continue work that was not finished at the session.
Board members present were listed in the meeting minutes as Bergstrom, Busch, Dunn, Harris, Heisner, Johnston, Skelding and Mr. Wainwright. The meeting began at 6:00 PM and adjourned at approximately 8:00 PM. No formal votes or motions were recorded in the minutes for these decisions; the minutes describe them as board determinations and scheduling of follow-up.
