Student representative reports; administrators share recognitions and safety-drill review

The public portion of the Oct. 6 meeting included a student report from McFarland High School. Dean Swanlund provided the report on behalf of the MHS student body; the minutes record no public comment following the student report.
District Administrator Aaron Tarnutzer presented district recognitions, shared recent photos from around the district, and highlighted important upcoming dates and events. The board also reviewed school safety written drill and event evaluations as required by Wisconsin Statute 118.07(4)(cp). Separately, School Board President Meghan Fessler reported on takeaways from a recent regional meeting of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB). The McFarland Youth Center report was noted as delayed to a future meeting.
