Superintendent Nick Kaiser updated the board that $5.1 million of referendum funds have been expended to date, with major July payments covering HVAC, lighting and a new van. He said Phase 1 projects are being wrapped up in September and October while Phase 2 preparations will move toward bidding later this fall.
Kaiser also reviewed operational items for the start of school: an Open House on Aug. 19, student transition days scheduled for Aug. 21–22 (with buses running and meals provided), and 4.5 days of fall in‑service for staff (including orientation for new teachers on Aug. 14). Kaiser thanked custodial, maintenance and year‑round staff for summer work preparing buildings for reopening.
