The Germantown School District administrative team shortlisted three search firms from five responses to its request for proposals and will invite those firms to present to the board at a public meeting on Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m., staff told the personnel committee on Aug. 4. Director Anne Utech said each firm will have a 45-minute window to present and answer questions, and the district will publish each firm's presentation after the meeting to keep the process transparent.
Utech said the district had sent out eight RFPs and received five responses; the administrative team evaluated experience in Wisconsin and other factors to identify the three finalists. Board members raised a fairness concern about sequential public presentations and whether later presenters would hear earlier ones; staff said the presentations will be public, firms will be in the room, but the district will not publish firms' responses ahead of the meeting. Utech said the firms' written proposals and presentations will then be made available to the public following the presentations.
