"We are 90% complete with design, and we're really close to...getting the feedback we need from USDA for the funding," the City Manager said during the presentation.
Finance staff and the fire chief are leading final USDA application work so the city can proceed with site work once funding is confirmed. The manager said staff expect USDA to be surprised at the project's readiness and that completing paperwork is the next step; he noted the city cannot touch the site until the funding is finalized and referenced ongoing coordination with fire department staff and Cindy Lynch on application details.
