County staff outlines $5.1M remaining in ARPA funds; commissioners schedule workshop

Staff also proposed transferring and consolidating previously earmarked jail funds for future planning of a new facility.
Commissioners expressed surprise at some cost estimates — notably engineering estimates for courthouse HVAC and the potential need to increase the previous $575,000 estimate to about $2.2 million — and asked for a work session so the board could review details before moving dollars. The board voted to schedule a workshop and requested follow up with staff recommendations.
