Commissioners reviewed site photos and discussed several placement options for a new marker at Littleton Common. Speaker 4 suggested moving the marker to the right of the large granite slab so it would be visible from the street and easier for parked visitors to walk over and read: "If it was over there, then if somebody parked, they could easily walk over and take a look at it," the committee member said.
The commission flagged several constraints to confirm before a final decision: the conservation commission's wetland and setback rules, the proximity of new conservation signage and a proposed kiosk, and DPW's assessment of whether the selected spot can be dug and installed without encroaching on wetlands or utilities. Chair asked Andrew to check setbacks with the Conservation Commission and to get DPW feedback on installability and whether existing signposts would conflict with the marker.
