Three trustees sworn in; board elects Darland president, Kelly vice president and Schmoker secretary
Summary
Amy Ivy administered the oath to Carlos Cuellar, Duane Kelly and Bianca Washington; trustees then nominated and elected board officers, including a 4–3 vote electing Julia Schmoker as secretary.
At the Nov. 18 meeting Superintendent Donald McIntyre recognized outgoing service by Bob Lovelady for 12 years on the board and Amy Ivy administered the oath of office to newly seated trustees Carlos Cuellar, Duane Kelly and Bianca Washington.
Following sworn reorganization, John Campbell nominated Cyndi Darland to serve as board president; the motion passed unanimously. Julia Schmoker was nominated and elected as board secretary in a 4–3 vote, with Johns Campbell, Cyndi Darland, Duane Kelly and Julia Schmoker voting for and Carlos Cuellar, Starla Sharpe and Bianca Washington voting against. Duane Kelly was nominated and elected vice president unanimously.
The board then adjourned at 8:33 p.m.
