Trustee Elizabeth (Lisa) Meehling summarized the Legal/Ordinance committee meeting on July 30: the village issued four occupancy permits and three building permits (one fence, one garage addition and one sign). Village Engineer Tim Pruett said he has written several letters regarding nuisance properties.
Pruett also discussed potential development and said there will be hearings on Sept. 9 during the combined board meeting. Trustee Meehling and Public Works Director John Tolan told the board that a village public-works truck was damaged while at a locksmith and that the village attorney has sent a letter to the company identified in the committee discussion.
