Trustees authorized purchase of a replacement power-vent unit for the municipal boiler after a contractor reported the motor's bearings were failing.
Contractor Anthony Draper told the board he had replaced several boiler components—installing a new pump, a new separator, three new thermostats and new water valves—and described the power vent bearings as bad and not serviceable as individual parts. The minutes record the board was told a replacement power-vent unit would cost about $700. Trustee Charlie Graves moved to purchase the unit; Trustee Jarod Ormsby seconded the motion and the board carried it.
The repairs left the system largely renewed, but the board approved the additional purchase to restore the venting motor. The clerk recorded the motion and vote in the minutes.
