Freeburg swears in new K9 Officer Hunter Borger and dog Robi

Mayor Seth Speiser opened the Aug. 4 board meeting and Village Clerk Jerry Menard administered the oath to K9 Officer Hunter Borger and his service dog Robi. The swearing took place in the Freeburg Municipal Board Room and was also available via Zoom.
Police Chief Mike Schutzenhofer told the board that Robi "is nationally certified" and that state certification is scheduled for Friday. Chief Schutzenhofer also summarized recent police activity, noting 145 calls since the last committee meeting. The board congratulated Officer Borger in trustee and staff comments that followed.
