Sean Cox told council that, per a comment from the previous meeting, the city moved $26,000 out of the visitors bureau budget and into a landscaping line item for the stair and creek project in the historic district. He said, “We went ahead and moved it out of the DSVB, and we have the line item here, in landscaping,” and that the line can be removed or adjusted later.
Council members asked for clarity about what properties landscaping funds could be spent on and were told the spending would depend on eligibility and council discretion. Staff will track that line item and present updates at subsequent workshops.
