Nederland trustees approved a special review use (SRU) and associated resolution allowing the Flower Collective to operate a medical marijuana infused‑product facility at its existing 91 Big Springs Drive site. Town planner Bridal Domingue presented the staff report, citing code sections that require SRU review for marijuana manufacturing in general commercial zones and confirming Planning Commission approval on March 25, 2026. Domingue told the board staff found no change to the building footprint, no anticipated increase in utilities, traffic or deliveries, and that state licensing had issued a conditional license.
Applicant Maxwell Pollitt, appearing remotely, characterized the change as operational and market‑facing rather than an expansion: "This use... is really just administrative on the operational side... we're not increasing any cultivation... we're just trying to open ourselves up to a different market," he said, explaining the medical market would be served from existing equipment and staff. With no public testimony, a trustee moved to approve the SRU and the associated resolution 2026‑10; the board voted to approve the application and resolution.
